• American Indian Library Association
  An affiliate of the American Library Association, the AILA websites provides information about its organization as well as links to pertinent library and literature resources.

  This is a piece on the Bureau of Indian Affairs available in the Houghton Mifflin College Division online encyclopedia.



• International Indigenous Librarians' Forum III
  The American Indian Library Association (AILA) and the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) will host the Third International Indigenous Librarian's Forum in Santa Fe, New Mexico from November 9, 2003 through November 12, 2003. This website hosts information about the forum.



• Internet Public Library has a special collection of Native American authors.
  The University of Michigan School of Information hosts this website. Another useful resource is its "Ask a Question" link. Students in Library and Information Science volunteer year round to answer these questions.



• National Indian Law Library
  A public law library with a mission to serve those individuals and organizations who are working on behalf of Native Americans.

• Tribal Libraries Program
  The New Mexico State Library program provides specialized library development services to tribal community libraries in New Mexico. There are 17 tribal library sites – 13 Pueblo, 2 Navajo and 2 Apache.



• Useful Websites for Tribal Librarians
  Elaine Cubbins, University of Arizona, has put together a webliography of resources for librarians and other providers of information who serve North American Indian populations.



• Virtual Library for Tribal Colleges
  This virtual library was created for the Northwest Indian College Oksale Program by Dr. Loriene Roy's Library Instruction class at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, University of Texas at Austin.

• Institute of Museum and Library Services
  The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) supports libraries, museums and archives of all types. Tribal museums and libraries in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah have received support from the IMLS.



• Tamastslikt Cultural Institute is owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla.
  They began planning Tamastslikt in 1988 with the vision of preserving, enhancing and sharing their rich culture and history. Construction of the $18 million project began in 1996, and the facility opened to the public July 31, 1998.
